Job Description
 
He/She is responsible for providing radiological services of the highest quality whilst ensuring best possible outcomes for patients at all times.
ROLE SUMMARY
To perform or interpret the outcomes of diagnostic imaging procedures, including magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computerized tomography (CT), mammography, angiography, fluoroscopy, and general radiography.
•Provide consultation with referring doctors, coordinate radiological services with other medical activities
•Provide counselling to radiology patients when necessary to explain the processes, risks, benefits, and alternative treatments.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
•Degree in Medicine plus a Specialty Certificate in Radiology or equivalent qualification from a recognized university
•Valid registration with the Botswana Health Professional Council is a pre-requisite
•5 years’ working experience as a doctor in a hospital setting
•Extensive knowledge in MRI/CT/Ultrasound/Mammography and perform Fluoroscopic Interventions is a pre-requisite
