The Botswana Tennis Association (BTA) is the national governing body for tennis in Botswana, headquartered in Gaborone. Its mission is to identify and nurture tennis players and organize the playing of tennis at social, competitive, and professional levels across the country.

Development Programs
BTA runs a structured junior development program aimed at grassroots tennis development. This program has expanded to several primary schools nationwide and has received support from BNSC, ITF, and other stakeholders.
Competitions
BTA organizes and participates in various competitions, including:

Davis Cup: Botswana’s Davis Cup team first competed in 1996 and has been ranked among the top 15 African nations.

Fed Cup: The women’s team debuted in 1995, achieving notable victories in recent years.

Junior Tournaments: Botswana has consistently ranked in the top ten in Africa for junior tennis, with players reaching high continental rankings.
Human Resources
BTA has trained 15 ITF Level I coaches and has one ITF Level II (White Badge) umpire, along with over 40 Level I umpires. The association also engages sports physicians and other volunteers for events, especially international competitions.
Affiliated Clubs
Currently, 13 tennis clubs are affiliated with BTA. The association collaborates with institutions like the Botswana Integrated Sports Association and the Botswana Premier League Sports Association to promote tennis across different educational levels.
