Job Summary
Reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator-Electrical, the Electrical Foreman is responsible for the supervision of artisans and for ensuring a safe, efficient, and productive engineering maintenance on all electrical machinery and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
* Analyze and supervise repairs, materials, tools, safe work conditions
* Conduct regular equipment inspections
* Analyse breakdowns to identify the root cause
* Implement and control preventative maintenance
* Spares and equipment availability
* People effectiveness
* Legal compliance
* Safety, health and environmental compliance
Qualifications & Experience
* National Craft Certificate or National Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
* At least 6 years post qualification experience in a mining environment with at least 3 years at supervisory level.
* Knowledge of Mines, Quarries, Works and Machinery Regulations is essential.
* Experience in the installation and maintenance of electrical and instrumentation systems.
* Ability to troubleshoot highly automated equipment.
* Underground mine experience is required.
