History

Founded in 1899 by Reverend Nelson Fogarty of the Railway Mission

Originally called Francistown European School

Renamed in 1958 to honour John Mackenzie (1835-99), a Scottish missionary who advocated for the rights of the Tswana people

In 1994, a secondary section was added to serve Northern Botswana and surrounding communities

Curriculum & Academics

Follows the Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) curriculum: Checkpoint, IGCSE, and A & AS Levels
