Master Farmer Feeds (Pty) Ltd is a private company incorporated in Botswana in 1998. It operates through three main divisions:

Nutri Feeds – animal feed manufacturing and distribution

Ross Breeders Botswana – rearing breeder chickens, producing hatching eggs, and supplying day-old chicks

Oistins – broiler chicken farming, slaughtering/processing, and distribution of broiler chicken meat

Nutri Feeds

Location: Pilane, Botswana

Largest feed manufacturer in the country

Capacity: about 10,000 tonnes of animal feed per month

Workforce: around 120 employees

Plant originally built in 2004 and acquired by Ross Africa in 2008

Ross Breeders Botswana

Produces hatching eggs and day-old chicks

Breeder farms: Thamaga and Molepolole

Hatcheries: Notwane and Francistown

Capacity: about 1.65 million day-old chicks per month

Workforce: roughly 250 employees

Oistins

Operates broiler growing farms, processing plants, and an abattoir

Main site: Shashe, Francistown

Capacity:

Broiler farm can hold about 326,000 chickens at once

Abattoir processes around 8,000 birds per day

Contract farms at Motswane and Lobotse grow about 110,000 broilers per cycle

Since 2015, parts of Oistins operations have been rented to Business Surge (Pty) Ltd
