Morula School is a private English-medium institution located in Selebi Phikwe, Botswana. Established in January 1992 with an initial enrollment of 65 students, the school has grown to accommodate approximately 289 pupils from diverse cultural backgrounds, with over half being citizens of Botswana .
Academic Programs
Morula School offers a comprehensive curriculum from Grade 00 (Reception) to Form 4. The high school section, which began in 2001, follows the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) curriculum administered by Cambridge University. The first cohort of students sat for their IGCSE “O” level exams in 2004 .
Extracurricular Activities
The school emphasizes holistic education by encouraging students to participate in various extracurricular activities. Students from Grade 3 upwards are expected to engage in at least three activities per term, which may include sports, arts, and cultural programs. The school also organizes educational trips and excursions for students from Grade 4 onwards, fostering experiential learning beyond the classroom .
School Culture and Community
Morula School promotes a sense of community and healthy competition through its house system, comprising two houses: Baobab (blue) and Mophane (yellow). Students earn points for their houses through academic achievements and participation in various competitions, culminating in the awarding of the Muslim Inter-house Floating Trophy .
