Job Description
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position of
Accounts Officer at the Tsholofelo Rehabilitation Centre in Serowe.
ACCOUNTS OFFICER (1 POST)
Annual Salary C2 Salary scale (P156 336- P185 868 per annum).
Salary will be determined by experience
Qualifications:
Diploma/Degree in Accounting/Accounts/Finance.
Requirements:
• At least 2 years minimum Accounting/Accounts work experience.
• Experience in working in a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) will be added advantage.
• Must be registered with Botswana Institute of Chartered Accountants
(BICA)

Duties:
• Prepares bank reconciliations.
• Prepare of yearly financial budget with the Management.
• Ensure all financial records/systems are in good order.
• Processes all financial transactions in an accurate and timely manner.
• Maintains property and asset register.
• Ensuring that imprest is retired well on time.
• Provides petty cash to run the Centre.
• Mentors assistants against and guiding alongside the financial budget, and adhering to the budget at all times and provide support to management.
• Prepares monthly payroll and payment of management salaries and to BURS.
• Assist with preparation of internal and external audits and respond to audit queries in a timely manner.
• Files and maintains all financial records accurately.
• Oversees short and long term plans and initiatives and help budgeting activities.
• Preparing monthly reports for the management and quarterly reports for the donor/funder and the Board.
• Supervises procurement and custody of all procurement documents.
• Management of all procurement and disposal activities carried out by the Centre.
• Initiates Procurement Plans and ensures their implementation.
• Ensures transparency with the tenders.
• Conducts inventory checks and arranges for auction sales.
• Any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor/Management.
