Solidcare Agro Solutions, a locally based agro-business company, is seeking a results-driven Agro Business Consultant – Export Markets to support our mission of expanding Botswana’s agro-exports. The ideal candidate will have expertise in agricultural value chains, market development, export market access, and a strong understanding of export compliance and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify export opportunities for Botswana-grown agricultural products.
• Conduct market research and trade analysis to inform export strategy.
• Provide advisory services to farmers, producer groups, and agro-processors on export requirements and quality standards.
• Support export readiness assessments and value chain development initiatives.
• Develop market entry strategies for targeted countries, particularly in the SADC region, Middle East, EU, US, and Asia.
• Facilitate buyer-seller linkages, contract negotiations, and offtake agreements.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agricultural Economics, Commerce, International Trade, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in agricultural trade, export development, or market access advisory.
• Proven knowledge of regional and international export markets and compliance requirements is essential.
• Experience working with farmer groups and associations, SMEs, and agro-exporters is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills.
