Job Description
Job Summary
Reporting to Foreman Electrician, the Assistant Electrician will be responsible for providing support to Artisan Electrician by carrying out planned & breakdown maintenance including to install and wire low voltage equipment and assist the Electrician in attending to network equipment faults in accordance with operational procedures.
Key Responsibilities
* Basic understanding of Electrical systems installation and testing aptitude
* Wiring, circuits fault finding and equipment testing
* Routine Maintenance & Inspections
* Spares requisitions
* General Maintenance
* Safety, Health and Environmental compliance
Qualifications & Experience
* Trade B Certificate in Electrical.
* At least 3 years’ post qualification experience preferably in an underground mining Environment.
* 2 years’ post qualification experience as a Semi-skilled Electrician preferably in a Mining Environment.
* Drivers License – Class B
