
Banqueting Manager at Pacers Experiential Events
Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Banqueting Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of banqueting operations at our versatile events venue, which hosts a wide range of indoor and outdoor events including weddings, corporate functions, private parties, and large-scale celebrations. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, hands-on leader with a passion for hospitality, excellent organizational skills, and a strong eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
* Event Coordination & Execution:
* Manage and supervise the planning and delivery of all events, ensuring high standards of service and client satisfaction.
* Liaise with clients, event planners, and internal teams to ensure all event requirements are clearly understood and executed flawlessly.
* Oversee event setup and breakdown for both indoor and outdoor spaces, ensuring layouts meet safety and aesthetic standards.
* Team Leadership:
* Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise banqueting staff, including servers, bartenders, and support staff.
* Foster a positive work environment focused on teamwork, efficiency, and exceptional guest service.
* Operations & Logistics:
* Coordinate with kitchen and catering teams to ensure seamless food and beverage service.
* Monitor inventory levels of events, banqueting supplies and equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and timely procurement.
* Client Relations:
* Act as the main point of contact for clients during events, addressing any issues promptly and professionally.
* Maintain high levels of client satisfaction and encourage repeat business through outstanding service.
* Financial & Administrative Duties:
* Assist in the development and management of banqueting budgets.
* Prepare event reports, staff schedules, and post-event evaluations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
* Proven experience (7+ years) in banqueting, hospitality, or events management.
* Degree in Business Management, Hospitality & Tourism.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Exceptional communication and organizational abilities.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
* A flexible schedule includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.
* Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food service and events.
* Previous experience managing outdoor events is a strong advantage.
