Role Summary
BAB seeks a visionary and dynamic CEO to lead the institution. The CEO will be a strategic thinker and persuasive communicator, responsible for fostering collaboration, influencing policy, and driving the execution of BAB’s mission and long-term vision. This is a rare opportunity to shape the national banking agenda and lead meaningful sector-wide transformation1.
Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership: Lead the development and execution of BAB’s strategic plan, aligned with the Council’s vision and national priorities.

Stakeholder Engagement:Â Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with government, regulators, and stakeholders to ensure policy alignment with member interests.

Human Capital Management: Build a high-performing team by attracting, developing, and retaining top talent that upholds BAB’s standards of excellence.

Public Education & Awareness:Â Lead nationwide financial literacy campaigns and promote responsible banking practices through public education initiatives.

Innovation & Technology: Drive the sector’s digital evolution by promoting innovation in banking and payments infrastructure.

Visibility & Advocacy:Â Serve as the official spokesperson for BAB, delivering consistent, informed, and proactive engagement with the media, stakeholders, and the public.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all legal, regulatory, and statutory obligations relevant to BAB’s operations and governance.

Operational Oversight:Â Oversee day-to-day operations, including budgeting, procurement, human resources, and IT, ensuring efficient execution of internal policies and strategic objectives1.
Candidate Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Economics, Finance, Law, Banking, Computer Science, or related field.

Ten (10) years of experience in a financial institution or similar environment, with 5 years’ executive management experience with leadership, stakeholder engagement, and advocacy experience1.
