Chief Executive Officer – Executive Level
Key Responsibilities:
– Develop and execute strategic plans to grow Stargems Botswana’s market share and profitability.
– Oversee all aspects of diamond manufacturing & quality control, supply chain management.
– Lead government and stakeholder engagement with key high-level relationship development – government, regulators, and institutional partners.
– Drive innovation in diamond process training and sustainability initiatives.
– Ensure compliance with Botswana diamond industry regulations and global ethical standards.
– Manage financial performance, budgeting, and reporting.
– Represent Stargems Botswana at industry forums, events, and global trade events.
Qualifications:
– BGCSE/Bachelor’s degree in business administration, diamond/strategic management, or international relations.
– Additional certifications in Gemology, Diamond Technology, or Supply Chain Management are an added advantage.
Skills & Experience:
– Proven success (over 15 years in executive leadership) in the diamond industry.
– Strong understanding of diamond value chain.
– Proven success in managing large-scale operations and cross-functional teams.
– Deep understanding of diamond beneficiation, rough-to-polished workflows, and global diamond markets.
– Strong financial acumen and experience managing multi-million-dollar budgets.
– Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills regionally and internationally.
– Strong commitment to local empowerment.
– Capable visionary with strong analytical capabilities.
– Exceptional leadership, mentoring, and team motivation skills.
– Knowledge of polishing equipment and process automation.
– High ethical standards and commitment to corporate social responsibility.
