Job Description
Job Summary
Reporting to the C & I Foreman, the C & I Technician is responsible for planning and carrying out diagnosis and repairs on surface and underground control systems and circuits to optimize performance and minimize downtime. To ensure effective and efficient installation and commissioning control and instrumentation systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Condition monitoring and reliability centered maintenance
* Installs and maintain equipment used for monitoring and controlling engineering systems, machinery and processes.
* Maintenance and troubleshooting
* Equipment inspections and compliance
* Safety, health and environmental compliance
Qualifications & Experience
* Diploma in Electrical Engineering / National Craft Certificate in Electronic Engineering or equivalent qualification.
* Minimum of 5 years’ post qualification experience in a mining environment, preferably underground mining and construction.
* Technical report writing and Troubleshooting skills
* Advanced computer skills and relevant computerized maintenance management systems
* Drivers License – Class B
