Applications are invited from highly talented, proactive, innovative, and self-driven individuals for the public service post of Deputy Manager – Facilities Management, salary scale D1, tenable at the Ministry of Labour and Home Affairs (Headquarters).

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of a Degree in Estate Management, Property Management, Facilities Management, Quantity Surveying, Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering, or Architecture.
- Must be fully registered with the appropriate professional bodies.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum ten (10) years post-qualification experience in Facilities Management, Property Management, Quantity Surveying, or Engineering disciplines.
- At least two (2) years must have been served at D2 salary scale.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To manage and oversee work projects for the maintenance of all buildings in the Ministry and supervise other facilities management operations.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
- Establishes areas for outsourcing and leads implementation.
- Maintains relationships with departments to assess space needs and prevent issues.
- Leads and coordinates implementation and review of facility regulations and procedures.
- Educates staff on proper facility management and safety practices.
- Maintains a building and facility usage schedule.
- Ensures compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Conducts and documents risk assessments.
- Advises on new facility concepts and evaluates repair complexities.
- Engages consultants and oversees repairs and facility upgrades.
- Prepares reports on operational efficiency.
- Trains interns and staff on maintenance procedures.
- Prepares maintenance budgets.
- Identifies and engages opportunities for optimal facility use.
- Manages procurement processes and contractor payments.
- Projects costs for contractor services.
