AECI Botswana (Pty) Ltd, an explosives and specialty chemicals company focused on providing products and services to a broad spectrum of customers in mining, manufacturing and agricultural sectors, has the following vacancy
DIESEL MECHANIC – MOTHEO COPPER MINE (3 YEAR 4 MONTHS CONTRACT)
Core Responsibilities
– Fixed and mobile equipment maintenance, service and inspections
– Mobile Manufacturing Units (MMU’s) Calibrations
– Assist the Maintenance Manager with engineering or capital projects management
– Maintenance related monthly reporting to Maintenance and Site Managers
– Maintenance scheduling and forecasting
– Equipment breakdown repairs and planned maintenance
– Critical and other spares management
– Equipment availabilities management
– Carry out maintenance of light duty vehicles
– Assist the Maintenance Manager implement the maintenance strategy and manage maintenance related store keeping
Qualifications
, Experience and Skills Requirements
– At least a Diploma or NCC in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)
– At least 4 years’ experience in a similar, explosives equipment maintenance, environment
– Knowledge of MMU’s and pump maintenance
– Valid class B driver’s licence
– Experience in maintenance of explosives manufacturing plants
– Must be a Motswana
– Must be able to speak Setswana and English fluently
– Knowledge and experience in AECI products is an added advantage
