Job Description
Job Summary
Reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator – Mechanical, the Foreman-Mobile Equipment supervises the installation, repair and general maintenance of the mobile equipment.
Key Responsibilities
* Analyze and supervise repairs, materials, tools, safe work conditions
* Conduct regular equipment inspections
* Analyse breakdowns to identify the root cause
* Implement and control preventative maintenance
* Spares and equipment availability
* Compile technical reports, method statements and risk assessments
* People effectiveness
* Legal compliance
* Safety, health and environmental compliance
Qualifications & Experience
* National Craft Certificate or National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
* At least 6 years post qualification engineering and maintenance operations experience of mobile equipment in a mining environment with at least 3 years at supervisory level.
* Experience in underground Drill Rigs, Load & Haul Dumpers and Utility vehicles.
* Extensive knowledge of heavy equipment operation, maintenance and repair.
* Class B Driver’s License.
