Job Purpose

Reporting to the CEO, the ICT Manager will be responsible for driving the formulation and implementation of the ICT strategy, managing ICT projects, and overseeing the disaster recovery framework, while delivering quality services aligned with industry standards. In addition, they will plan, organise, and manage BECI’s ICT systems to ensure the secure and efficient processing of data, robust cybersecurity, as well as the integrity of company databases.

The Job

• The incumbent will be responsible for, among others, the following:
• Formulating and implementing the ICT strategy and departmental action plans.
• Developing and monitoring the ICT budget.
• Ensuring effective data integrity, cybersecurity, and system availability.
• Leading ICT disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives.
• Managing ICT infrastructure, software procurement, and contractual engagements.
• Overseeing IT project management to ensure timely and effective delivery.
• Providing guidance and mentorship to the ICT Officer.
• Advising executive leadership on technology trends and strategic initiatives.

The Person

• The ideal candidate should possess the following:
• A Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• A professional qualification such as COBIT.
• At least 10 years’ post-qualification experience in ICT, with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial role.
• Experience in cloud technologies will be an added advantage.
