Universal Builders Botswana (Pty) Ltd, a construction and property development company is seeking for a lawyer. Located at Plot 20582 Block 3 Industrial Area, P. O Box 1823, Gaborone. Contact: 3913777.
We seek a lawyer with over six years’ experience in commercial law, employment law, compliance, corporate governance and dispute resolution.
Key Duties Include: Conduct legal research and offer clear, actionable legal opinions on corporate operations. Manage corporate governance frameworks and ensure compliance with regulatory and legal standards as well as perform company secretarial duties. Liaising with external Counsel on legal matters. Support management on legal queries related to employment, procurement and stakeholder relations. Coordinate legal documentation for internal and external transactions and organizational processes. Advising on compliance and dispute resolution. Managing debt recovery. Lead employee relations processes by chairing internal disciplinary hearings and ensuring compliance with labour laws and corporate policies.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor of Laws degree required. Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Psychology or Masters’ degree in Business Administration or related field will be an added advantage. Demonstrated in-house expertise across multidisciplinary sectors. Proven experience in contract drafting and negotiation. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Valid driver’s license.
