DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will be expected to (i) train and educate undergraduate students using and developing new and appropriate teaching methods (ii) participate in all academic activities of the department (iii) serve on committees within the college and external professional organisations (iv) facilitate partnerships internally and externally (v) initiate, develop and establish research programmes with other staff in the department (vi) carry out any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Head of Department.

COMPETENCIES & SKILLS

Knowledge and experience in facilitation of learning. Ability to design teaching and learning resources for a variety of learning styles. Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing complex ideas and recommendations and ability to establish and monitor fiscal accountability within areas of responsibility. The candidate should have demonstrated research projects/training as well as conference presentation. The Candidate should have the ability to work with faculty, staff and students as well as community groups of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE

* Masters Degree in specialist programme/area
* At least three (3) years relevant lecturing experience in a tertiary institution will be an added advantage
* Registered with relevant professional bodies
