Plater-Welder/Fabrication Technician at GMC Maruding Resources Proprietary Limited
Job Description
REQUIREMENTSÂ
* Must have National Certificate in Fabrication Engineering
* Class 1 fabricator/welder trade test certificate
* Certificate in corrosion protection.
* Minimum 10 years in a heavy steel fabrication workshop environment as a welder/fabrication technician
* Experience in heavy steel fabrication and installation of mining type equipment such as chutes, silos, Ultra-seps, bins, Pachukas, screens, crushers, mills, boilers, etc
* Previous experience as a boilermaker in a mining environment will be an added advantage
Technical competencies must include:
* Ability to read/interpret Engineering drawings
* Excellent HSE Knowledge
* Thorough understanding of the MQWM Act, Botswana
* Ability to develop basic risk assessment and associated risk mitigation strategies
