
Production Manager at FLO TEK
Job Description
The Production Manager will be responsible for leading and optimizing our injection moulding production operations. The successful candidate must have deep technical expertise in plastic engineering, Mold design and maintenance with a strong background in UPVC & CPVC Fittings and in Injection Moulding.
Your roles will include (but not limited to):
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and oversee all activities from compounding, processing and injection molding operations
* Oversee the design, development, and refinement of precision molds for CPVC fittings
* Troubleshoot injection molding issues and implement corrective actions.
* Supervise mold fitting, tooling setup, and maintenance of molds and processing equipment
* Plan and execute production schedules to meet quality and delivery targets.
* Design and modify molds and tooling for improved performance and cost efficiency.
* Monitor and maintain product quality standards and safety compliance (ISO Standard & Local Standards)
* Manage and mentor production staff, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
* Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to optimize machine efficiency and uptime. (Cycle time)
* Maintain accurate documentation of production, maintenance, and quality records.
Requirements & Skills
* Degree in Plastic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering/Polymer Science, or a related field.
* Minimum of 10 years’ experience in injection moulding with a focus on CPVC Fittings.
* Proven track record in developing high quality molds.
* Injection Molding Process Optimization.
* Mold Design & Development & CPVC Fittings Manufacturing.
* Design and develop molds for CPVC fittings with focus on durability, precision, and scalability.
* Optimize injection molding parameters to enhance product
* Ensuring product compliance with industry standards.
* Optimizing manufacturing processes & Quality Control & Assurance.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.in-depth understanding of polymers, materials science, and moulding parameters.
* Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation.
* Process troubleshooting, and innovative solutions tailored to CPVC applications
* Knowledge of lean manufacturing and ISO standards is advantageous.
* Leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a production team
