
Project Manager – Underground at Khoemacau Copper Mine
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
-Lead and manage all aspects of project performance including safety, quality, productivity, and budget control.
-Coordinate and direct underground development activities and contractor operations.
-Develop and monitor execution plans, schedules, and performance indicators.
-Identify risks and lead mitigation strategies across planning, scheduling, execution, and reporting.
-Drive continuous improvement across systems and workforce capabilities.
-Monitor KPIs, analyze trends, and report performance metrics.
-Foster strong working relationships with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
-Ensure compliance with HSEC, operational, and legal requirements throughout all project phases.
Requirements and Skills:
-Minimum of 10 years’ experience in underground mining, with at least 5 years in a senior project management role.
-Proven success managing underground project delivery in mechanized, high-speed environments.
-Degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline.
-Strong background in planning, budgeting, and project execution.
-Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in a high-performance culture.
-Proficiency in project management systems, KPIs, and cost control.
-Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
-Strong English language skills (written and verbal).
