Job Summary
Reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator – Mechanical, the Winder Technician-Mechanical will be responsible for ensuring inspections and maintenance (planned and predictive), of the shaft winders to ensure their safe and effective operation to meet underground mining production targets.
Key Responsibilities
* Condition monitoring and reliability centered maintenance
* PID controllers and electro hydraulics maintenance and troubleshooting
* Equipment statutory inspections compliance
* Winders and their ancillary equipment maintenance
* Safety, health and environmental compliance
Qualification & Experience
* Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
* Minimum eight (8) years’ post qualification experience with 3 years in a similar position
* Proficient in hydraulics and pneumatics and troubleshooting
* Proficient in hydraulics and pneumatics and troubleshooting
* Proficient in vibration analysis and reliability analysis concepts
* Conceptual and analytical skills for root cause analysis
* Membership of a recognized professional body for technicians
