Job Summary:

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, be registered with the Engineering Registration Board (ERB), and have a minimum of 5 years’ relevant working experience. The role involves overseeing mechanical systems, ensuring operational efficiency, and supporting project implementation across the plant or mining site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain mechanical systems, components, and processes.

• Conduct technical analysis and root cause failure assessments on mechanical equipment.

• Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of new machinery and mechanical systems.

• Prepare technical reports, maintenance plans, and project documentation.

• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support operational and project goals.

• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and technical support staff.

• Optimize equipment performance and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (accredited).

• Registered with the Engineering Registration Board (ERB) – proof of registration required.

• Minimum 5 years’ post-qualification experience in a mining, industrial, or heavy engineering environment.

• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, maintenance planning, and plant equipment.

• Proficient in engineering software and tools.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
