*BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER – GABORONE

Chartered Insurance Brokers is searching for a passionate and highly motivated Business Development Officer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of our growth, expanding our client base, nurturing key relationships, and directly driving our revenue forward.

*KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the insurance market.
• Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve targets.
• Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients.
• Conduct market research to stay ahead of industry trends and competitor activities.
• Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
• Collaborate with the internal team to ensure seamless client service and support.

*KEY COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS

• Proven experience in a business development or sales role within the insurance industry
• Strong understanding of insurance products and services, both Long and Short-Term.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

*REQUIREMENTS

• A business related Degree i.e., Finance, Insurance, Risk Management is required
• Must hold a Certificate of Proficiency – Short-term & Long-Term
• Minimum 5 years post-graduate experience in the insurance industry, 3 of which should have been in business development or sales
• A valid driver’s license
