The Financial Intelligence Agency is an Agency of Government responsible mainly for the production and dissemination of financial intelligence to relevant authorities to combat money laundering, terrorist and proliferation financing and other financial crimes. The Agency is also responsible for ensuring compliance with the requirements of the Financial Intelligence Act by Specified Parties and Accountable Institutions.

VACANCY: SENIOR ASSISTANT DIRECTOR ANALYSIS AND MONITORING (HEAD OF DIVISION)
SALARY: E1 (P512, 148 per annum)
Leave: 30 working days per annum.
Benefits: (a) Optional contributory Medical Aid Scheme (Government pays 50% and Employee pays 50%).
(b) A contract of thirty-six (36) months with gratuity of 25% to 30% payable upon expiry of the contract.
Qualification:
Candidates should have Bachelor’s Degree in Economics/Finance/Information Technology or Business Law or any other related field. A Master’s degree in a relevant fields will be an added advantage.
Experience:
A minimum of sixteen (16) years’ post qualification work experience, two (2) of which must have been served as Senior Assistant Director E1 (E2) salary scale or equivalent. Exposure to the following field is required:
• Research.
• AML/CFT/PF Assessor’s Training.
• Data Analytics.
• Financial Regulation.
Main Purpose of the Job:
Reporting to the Director General, Analysis and Monitoring, Senior Assistant Director is a senior level executive in the of financial analysis and monitoring including digital transformation of business processes in the Division.
Duties:
• Contribute to the development and implementation of the institutions strategy.
• Plan and directs the operations of the Analysis and Monitoring Department.
• Formulate and Implement policies for the Analysis and Monitoring processes.
• Lead research and typologies relating to Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing and Proliferation Financing (ML/TF/PF).
• Participate in Money and quality financial intelligence and other related products.
• Ensure ML/TF/PF trends and produce trends reports.
• Serve as liaison between the Agency and key stakeholders such as law enforcement, Financial Services and the global network.
• Inform relevant stakeholders in the production and dissemination of financial intelligence.
• Prepare the budget for the department.
• Ensure the implementation of the department budget.
• Oversee the Junior Analysis and Monitoring Department Annual Performance Plan.
• Undertakes any other related duties as assigned by Management.
