Position: Dealer Principal
Business Unit: Multiple Franchises
Location: Gaborone

 

 

Purpose of the role:

 


To manage a business that continuously creates value for all stakeholders through collective efforts of skilled, motivated and productive employees. Through the support of loyal and delighted customers as well as mutually beneficial relationships with manufacturers and other suppliers.

 

 

Key deliverables and outcomes

 


The incumbent will be required to:

 

 

  • Manage the dealership’s financial performance

  • Manage the financial risk and inventory security

  • Manage the departmental processes to satisfy customer needs

  • Manage the vehicle and parts inventory resource

  • Manage the dealership physical resources

  • Manage the performance of managers

  • Lead the team to develop and maintain positive working relationships

 

 

Knowledge

 

 

  • General financial knowledge

  • Knowledge of products and services related to the dealership

  • Knowledge of CSI and building strategic partnerships with customers

  • Knowledge of legislation related to the industry

  • Knowledge of Management and Marketing principles Skills

  • Computer & Business Systems literacy

  • Leadership and motivational skills

Academic qualification & other

 

 

  • BGCSE / O Level / Matric

  • Proven leadership track record in the motor industry

  • A minimum of five (5) years management experience in Sales, Service and Parts

  • Operational experience in Aftersales would be an added advantage

  • Valid Driver’s licence
