Mining Development Project.
Basic function of the position:
The role as a Rapid Development Specialist is to carry out efficient planning and development to quickly identify high-potential areas and establish Development timelines. Open to citizens
of Botswana only
Main duties and responsibilities:
Coordinate various aspects of the development process, from resource assessment to construction and permitting
Supervise Shotcrete personnel, batch plant, cablebolt operators, service crew, maintenance teams, development crews and special project teams.
Accelerate civil construction and the setup of necessary infrastructure for construction and initial development.
Provide constant communication to the mining and maintenance teams.
Ensure effective project task planning and scheduling within constraints
Assist or lead where appropriate the management of change processes.
Minimum qualifications and experience required for this position:
Minimum 10 years’ experience in Underground Mining environment or Underground civil environment
Technically sound with exposure to construction methodology development and execution in high capital value multi-disciplinary project skills.
History of competent contractor management on mining infrastructure projects built on strong relationships.
Extensive knowledge of safety standards and construction and maintenance implications and requirements particularly in relation to safety critical systems and equipment used in the
construction of infrastructure
Driver’s Licence, First Aid & CPR certificate.
Working at Heights certificate
Must have worked in a multicultural environment.
Ability to work in challenging and remote environments.
