Sefalana Holding Company Limited invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of: GROUP COMPANY SECRETARY
Reporting to the Group Finance Director and Board, the principal place of office will be in Gaborone.
KEY TASKS
• Providing the Group with up-to-date advice on Corporate Governance and best practice;
• Ensuring all matters of compliance with regulatory bodies such as the Botswana Stock Exchange, Companies and Intellectual Property Authority etc;
• Assisting with the preparation of Board packs and circulating in advance of Board meetings;
• Attending Board meetings, taking minutes and capturing matter arising;
• Preparation and attendance of Annual General Meetings;
• Providing legal advice on contracts and other related matters
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
• Must have at least three years of experience in the company secretarial field including company set ups.
• Experience in a Listed company / Group is an advantage.
• Must either be:
– A member of the Southern African Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators (CIS); or
– A member of the Botswana Institute of Chartered Accountants (BICA); or
– A qualified Auditor; or
– A legal practitioner.
