*10. PROJECT TRANSLATOR

*BASIC FUNCTION OF THE POSITION:

The Project Translator will be responsible for translating materials or documents between Chinese and English, including but not limited to emails, files, contracts, technical documents, etc. The incumbent will participate in interpretation and translation work for meetings and negotiations.

*CORE DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE:

• Botswana candidates should be proficient in Chinese listening, speaking, and reading with strong cross-cultural communication and translation skills between Chinese and English.
• Chinese candidates should be proficient in English listening, speaking, reading and writing with strong cross-cultural communication and translations skills between Chinese and English.
• Candidates with a background in project/engineering management are preferred.
• Adherence always to MMG Code of Conduct. The code applies standards for appropriate ethical and professional behaviour. It is based on MMG’ values of Respect, Integrity, Action and Results which form the basis of, and underpin all of MMG’ business relationships
• Always demonstrate safe behaviour and comply with the site’s standards and procedures in SHEC.

• Report all SHEC incidents.
