Position Overview:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Measurement Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of measurement, quantification, and cost control on construction sites to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

– Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
– Verify site measurements and prepare progress valuations.
– Ensure accurate and timely measurement of construction works in line with project plans and specifications.
– Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and quantity surveyors on cost and material assessments.
– Monitor project variations and assist in the preparation of claims.
– Maintain accurate measurement records and documentation.
– Prepare and manage project documentation, reporting, and close-out.
– Liaise with clients, consultants, and government bodies.
– Lead project meetings and drive problem resolution.
– Control variations, claims, and ensure profitability.

Qualifications and Experience:

– Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field from a recognized institution.
– Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience in the construction industry, particularly in measurement or quantity surveying roles.
– Additional qualifications or certifications in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or Project Management are added advantage.
– Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, and measurement software such as WinQS or CostX.
– Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
