Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor compliance with data protection regulations through internal audits and policy reviews
• Advise the organization and its employees on data protection obligations
• Provide guidance on Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and ensure remedial actions are taken
• Maintain and implement data protection policies and systems to ensure ongoing legal compliance
• Act as the contact point for data subjects and regulatory bodies such as BOCRA
• Manage the Data Security Incident Response Plan to handle data breaches
• Draft and maintain data protection notices, consent forms, and related documents
• Train employees on data protection awareness and compliance
• Assist with legal and regulatory compliance across the organization
• Monitor privacy and data protection developments to maintain compliance
• Conduct awareness sessions and support audits and investigations

Experience and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Law
• At least 5 years post-qualification legal experience
• Minimum 3 years of experience in data protection compliance or a related field
• Deep understanding of GDPR and relevant data protection laws
• Valid certificate of practice
• Experience in legal, audit, or risk management roles

Preferred Skills and Competencies:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities focused on risk and compliance
• Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information under pressure
• Excellent understanding of data protection legislation and regulatory frameworks
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for interaction with internal and external stakeholders
• Self-motivated and proactive in driving compliance and governance initiatives
